Blog Import FAQ
Can I import my blog?
Right now we can only import blogs from travelblog.org, but more are on the way. If your site is not supported, you can just upload your content directly to your account.
How do I start importing?
Simply sign into your account on travelblog.org and click the "Blog To Book" link in your control panel. This will bring you to our main import screen.
How long does importing take?
This all depends on the number of photos you have and your connection speed. You can monitor the import progress from the Import Center in your account. Once the import has started you don't have to wait, the import will continue in the background. Feel free to leave and come back at any time to view the results.
Can I choose which blogs and photos to import?
The import will transfer all of your content but once imported you can select/deselect any blogs or photos you want, or add new content.
I imported my blogs but now I can't find them. Where did they go?
It is possible that you imported your blogs into a new droptheworld account instead of your existing account. You will always be able to see your imported content via the "Blog to Book" link on your travelblog.org control panel. However, if you are logging in directly to droptheworld.com and your import is missing just email support@droptheworld.com and we will resolve the issue promptly.
Why are some of my photos not importing correctly?
There are a number of reasons why a photo may not import properly, but this is usually due to a brief connection problem or a corrupted photo. The import log will allow you to retry the image, but there are times where the photo cannot be copied. Be sure to review your book preview and replace these photos or de-select them before ordering.
Do you support travelblog.org or other markup?
We currently support two markup tags: bold and italic. Travelblog.org offers a number of markup features that are removed during import because they are either not useful for printed material or would interfere with our layouts. See Supported Markup Tags for full details.
Will changes I make to my droptheworld.com projects affect my travelblog.org account?
No. Any editing you do while using droptheworld.com will have no effect on your travelblog.org account.
